Area of Research and Interest
Details
Broad area of research interest: strongly correlated system and soft condensed matter physics. Electronic structure calculations of 2-Dimensional materials where strong s-p2 hybridization take place, using real space recursion methods and Tight Binding – LMTO/NMTO methods. Effect of different types of local and extended defects on their electronic properties are also interesting. Bandgap Tuning and Optical Conductivity of materials are some of the interesting features. Homogeneous random disorders, both of chemical and structural disorders in 2-D and 3-D systems. Effect of Short Range Ordering(SRO) on the disordered materials changes their properties in a dramatic way which are interesting area of investigation.
